Day – 1: Arrival In Leh

Take the morning flight for Leh. Our team will lead you to the hotel and relax for the complete day. As already you are at 3,500 mtr altitudes, so it is required to acclimatize. You stay overnight at the hotel/ guest house.

Day – 2: Likir to Yangthang across Phobe La (58Kms by Jeep)

Trek distance: 9 kms 4 to 5 hrs.
Level: Moderate
After breakfast, you drive to Likir Village (3650 mts) which is the starting point of our trek. It takes around one hour to reach Likir village. There is no vegetation after village Basgo (literary meaning ‘Cow Head’). This trek is a short distance trek but you don’t find any vegetation. You traverse two passes. It starts exactly downside of Likir monastery and heads in the west up to Phobe La (3580 m). That is located in Sumdo village. The trail ascends mildly upwards till you reach to Chagatse La (3630 mts). We camp near to the stream, next to Yangthang village (3630 mts). En-route you also witness the Ridzong monastery. This monastery is located at the rocky side of the valley, next to the Indus River.

Day – 3: Yangthang to Hemis Shukpachen across Tsermangchen La

Trek Distance: 8 kms. 2-3 hours
Level: Easy
It is an easy walk, today despite the pass because both the approach and the descent are of gentle gradients. The trekking trail heads north. There is a bit descends and followed by crossing a stream, you climb to Tsermangchen La (3750 mts). Here, you reach Hemis Shukpachen. This village name denotes the grove of cedars. This village is an oasis in the cold mountains. The green pastures indicate the prosperity and barley field makes you still there for some time.

Day – 4: Hemis Shukpachen to Ang across Mebtak La

Trek Distance: 10 kms. 3-4 hours
Level: Easy
It is again a fairly easy day and the trail leads upward to two hillocks west of the village upwards until it changes the walking direction to the south and climbs steeply up to the Mebtak La (3750 mts). You see prayer flags here. From the pass you descend the gorge to Ang. This village is known for its apricot orchards. You camp here tonight.

Day – 5: Ang to Temisgam and Nurla (8 km; 3 hrs.)

In the last 4 days, you trekked through a mountainous path to the lush green gorge way. Today you descend to Temisgam. It is located on Leh – Srinagar highway. We’ll drive back to Leh.

Day – 6: Leh to Delhi

Post to morning breakfast. We drop you to Leh airport.
